Hey, beautiful soul.

Let’s have a real conversation.

This isn’t another post about “how to get the guy” or a checklist of rules to follow. This is about real love—messy, powerful, healing love.

The kind that grows with you. That sees all of you. That stays.

I’ve been with my husband for over 20 years. We’ve walked through heaven and hell together—young love, heartbreak, babies, betrayal, healing, growth. We’ve lost ourselves and found each other again. And what I’ve learned is this:

A man doesn’t fall in love with perfection.
He falls for your presence. Your softness. Your truth. Your wholeness.

Let’s break it all the way down.

🫶🏽 1. A Man Falls in Love When He Feels Something He’s Never Felt

Jay Shetty once said, “A man falls in love when he feels seen—not when he sees someone.” And that is gospel.

Most men don’t get the space to be soft. They don’t grow up learning how to share their emotions. But when you’re the woman who makes him feel safe to feel… something shifts.

Let me take you back.

I was just 17. He was older, working at a pizza place. One night, I was outside playing football with a bunch of guys. He came outside, looked at me, and said,
"What are you doing out here this late? Doesn’t anybody worry about you?"

I broke. I mean—broke. Because no, nobody was. My mom was working two jobs, trying to survive. And in that one question… I felt seen. Protected. Like I mattered.

That night changed everything. He hugged me. He stayed. We talked until the sun came up.

That’s what makes a man fall in love. Not games. Not being “cool.”
But feeling something real.

💡 Want him to fall in love? Let him feel safe. Seen. Human. Not just strong.

👑 2. Respect Is Love to a Man (and You Don’t Have to Shrink to Give It)

Let’s talk truth.

You can be a strong, smart, powerful woman and still let a man lead in the ways he needs to.

Early in our marriage, I thought I had to do it all—the gifts, the lingerie, the grand gestures. I literally once jumped out of a box in a French maid outfit (and yes, dinner was French-themed too 😅).

But what made him feel most loved?
When I trusted him. Respected his choices. Let him take care of things.

Men bond through action.
They want to feel useful. Not in a needy way—but in a needed way.

Let him carry your bags. Let him fix that thing. Let him plan the trip. And when he does—say thank you. Not because you couldn’t do it yourself—but because receiving is your superpower.

💡 Respect doesn’t mean shrinking. It means seeing his effort and letting it land. That’s powerful.

🔥 3. Men Love a Woman Who’s in Motion

Say it with me: I am not a woman who waits to be chosen. I am the woman who chooses herself.

You want to know what makes a man lean in, step up, and stay interested?
A woman who’s lit up from the inside. Who’s got passion. Purpose. A life she loves—with or without him.

When I met my husband, I was radiant—not because of how I looked, but because I was on fire for my life. He had to work to earn my attention—and he wanted to.

Men love mystery. Not games. Not drama. But that glow you have when you’re growing, becoming, and not making him your whole world.

💡 Let him wonder what you’re up to. Be the plot twist. The dream he didn’t know he needed.

💔 4. Breakdowns Happen—But They Can Lead to Breakthroughs

I won’t sugarcoat this.

My husband cheated on me while I was pregnant. I left. I was heartbroken. Devastated.

But… he came back. He pursued me. We healed. We tried again.

Years later, with three babies under three, we were distant. He was playing video games, and I was drowning in diapers and dreams deferred. We weren’t lovers anymore. We were roommates. And I almost walked again.

But then life hit us harder—Graves’ disease, tumors, stress. And I chose to show up with softness. I gave him massages every day. Held our home together. And slowly… he came back to life. To us.

“Your triggers are your teachers.” — Mel Robbins

💡 You don’t need perfect love. You need true love—willing, growing, messy, magical love.

✨ 5. The Real Shift Happens When You Become HER

I stopped living to fix him—and started becoming me.

I went back to school. Got straight A’s. Spoke at graduation.
And something changed… in him.

He started doing the things I used to beg for. Carrying my bags. Opening doors. Calling me queen. And I realized—

When a woman steps into her worth, the world around her rises to match it.

“You don’t attract what you want. You attract who you are.” — Dr. Joe Dispenza

💡 Glow from the inside. Fall in love with YOU. And love will find you—at your level.

🥂 6. Long-Term Love Looks Like This

Today?

He flirts with me like it’s 2003.
He texts me saying, “I’m just sitting here waiting for my princess.”
He walks beside me—not ahead.

We talk. We laugh. We’ve got history, chemistry, and depth.

Not because we got lucky.
Because we kept choosing each other.

“Love lasts when you keep turning toward each other.” — Dr. John Gottman

💡 You deserve a love that evolves with you. That grows with your glow. That sees your worth—and adds to it.

💋 Final Word: Be Her. And Watch Him Rise.

Here’s what I want you to know:

You don’t have to beg to be loved.
You don’t have to twist, change, or perform.
You don’t have to shrink to be chosen.

Just become the woman you were always meant to be.
Radiant. Whole. Rooted in self-worth.

And if the right man is watching?
He’ll rise.
And if he doesn’t?

You’ll be too full of life to care. 🔥
