Time Warp: Best Era Ahead
Jun 17, 2026The Best Version of You Is Not Behind You
A Love Letter to Anyone Who Has Ever Wondered If They’ve Missed Their Chance
Beautiful friend,
Can we talk about something for a minute? 💛
Because I think there are a lot of people walking around carrying a quiet fear they rarely say out loud.
Maybe you’ve thought it.
Maybe you’ve felt it.
Maybe you’ve whispered it to yourself in moments of doubt.
Maybe you’ve looked at someone else’s life and wondered if you’re behind.
Maybe you’ve looked in the mirror and wondered if your best years have already happened.
Maybe you’ve watched someone else chase a dream and thought:
“I wish I would have done that when I was younger.”
Or maybe you’re young and thinking:
“If I don’t figure everything out right now, I’ll fall behind.”
Friend…
I want to tell you something I wish every person on earth understood.
Your life is not a race.
There is no universal timeline.
There is no age by which you’re supposed to have everything figured out.
There is no expiration date on becoming who you’re meant to be.
And the best version of you?
She isn’t behind you.
He’s not behind you.
They’re not behind you.
They’re ahead of you.
Waiting for you. ✨
The Lie We Learn Early
Somewhere along the way, we learn to measure life by milestones.
Graduate by this age.
Get married by this age.
Have children by this age.
Buy the house by this age.
Reach success by this age.
Build the career by this age.
Have it all figured out by this age.
And when life doesn’t follow that timeline?
We start believing we’re behind.
We compare.
We judge.
We question ourselves.
We wonder if we missed our opportunity.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
Life doesn’t unfold according to a schedule.
It unfolds according to growth.
And growth is never linear. 🌱
For the Young Woman Reading This
Maybe you’re in your teens.
Your twenties.
Your early thirties.
Maybe you’re feeling pressure to figure out your entire life.
Everyone around you seems to have a plan.
A career.
A relationship.
A purpose.
A direction.
And maybe you’re still searching.
Can I tell you a secret?
Most people are.
The people who look like they have it all figured out usually don’t.
They are simply taking the next step.
One step at a time.
You do not need to know your entire future.
You only need enough courage to take the next step.
Your twenties are not a deadline.
Your thirties are not a deadline.
You are allowed to explore.
Change your mind.
Try new things.
Fail.
Learn.
Grow.
Begin again.
You are becoming. 💖
For the Woman in the Middle
Maybe you’re in the busiest season of your life.
Building a career.
Raising children.
Managing a household.
Taking care of parents.
Trying to hold everything together.
Maybe you’ve spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you’ve forgotten what you wanted.
Maybe the dreams you once had feel far away.
Maybe you’ve convinced yourself:
“It’s too late.”
“I missed my chance.”
“That chapter is over.”
Friend…
Who told you that?
Because I don’t believe it.
I think some of the most beautiful chapters of life begin when we finally stop living according to everyone else’s expectations and start listening to our own hearts. 🤍
For the Woman Who Thinks Her Best Years Are Behind Her
Can I lovingly challenge that belief?
Because every time I meet a woman who says:
“My best years are behind me.”
What I usually find is a woman who has:
More wisdom.
More resilience.
More confidence.
More perspective.
More courage.
More life experience.
Than she had twenty years ago.
She may not realize it.
But she has become extraordinary.
Not despite her years.
Because of them. ✨
What Aging Has Taught Me
I used to think confidence came from achievement.
Now I think confidence comes from experience.
I used to think beauty came from youth.
Now I think beauty comes from authenticity.
I used to think success came from accomplishing more.
Now I think success comes from becoming more fully yourself.
Every chapter of life teaches us something.
Every challenge strengthens us.
Every heartbreak softens us.
Every setback grows us.
Every victory expands us.
Nothing is wasted.
Nothing. 💛
My Own Journey
When I look back, my life has never followed a straight line.
In my twenties, I started Cosmic Bling.
Years later, I built Hip Hop Fitness.
I became a Registered Nurse.
Earned my BSN.
Earned my MBA.
Built a career educating healthcare professionals across the country.
Became a life coach.
Started a podcast.
Created online programs.
Built Trifecta Wellness.
And now, at over 40, I’m opening LuminaFit.
My third fitness business.
Not because I couldn’t decide who I wanted to be.
Because I kept becoming.
Every chapter gave me something.
Every experience taught me something.
Every season prepared me for the next one.
And honestly?
I feel more aligned, more confident, more purposeful, and more excited about life now than I did at 20. 🌙
The Identity Shift That Changes Everything
One of the most powerful questions I’ve ever learned to ask is:
Who am I becoming?
Not:
How old am I?
What have I accomplished?
Am I behind?
What have I missed?
But:
Who am I becoming?
Because life isn’t about preserving who you were.
It’s about becoming who you’re capable of being.
Again.
And again.
And again.
For the rest of your life. 💫
Reinvention Is Proof of Life
Some people think reinvention means they failed.
I think reinvention means you’re alive.
Alive people grow.
Alive people evolve.
Alive people change.
Alive people dream.
Alive people become.
The moment you stop growing is the moment you stop living fully.
So if you’re feeling called toward something new…
A business.
A hobby.
A relationship.
A fitness journey.
A career change.
A dream.
Pay attention.
That pull matters. 💖
Five Ways to Step Into Your Next Chapter
1. Stop Measuring Your Life Against Someone Else’s Timeline
Your journey is yours.
Honor it.
2. Become the Person Before You See the Results
Identity first.
Results second.
Always.
3. Stay Curious
Curiosity keeps you young.
Learn.
Explore.
Ask questions.
Try new things.
4. Collect Evidence
Every small action becomes proof of who you’re becoming.
Keep the promises.
Take the step.
Trust yourself.
5. Never Stop Dreaming
The size of your dreams should not shrink with age.
If anything, they should expand. ✨

A Final Thought
Beautiful friend,
Whether you are 18 or 80…
You are not behind.
You are not late.
You are not running out of time.
You are becoming.
And becoming is one of the greatest privileges of being alive.
The world may try to convince you that your best days happened yesterday.
Don’t believe it.
The strongest version of you may still be forming.
The wisest version of you may still be learning.
The happiest version of you may still be healing.
The most confident version of you may still be emerging.
The most fulfilled version of you may still be waiting.
Not behind you.
Ahead of you.
One choice.
One chapter.
One courageous step at a time.
With so much love,
